Violinist Stephanie Ezerman has performed throughout the United States and Canada as a soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral player. She has performed with the Houston Symphony, the North Carolina Symphony, the Charlotte Symphony, the Memphis Symphony, the New World Symphony, and Spoleto Festival USA. She served as Associate Concertmaster of the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra and is currently Principal Second Violin with the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra. Stephanie performs regularly with her husband, cellist Alex Ezerman, as part of the Ezerman Duo, and is a frequent guest on the Sitkovetsky and Friends Chamber series in Greensboro, NC. Her recordings appear on the Innova and Double Time labels.

Though performance has been a meaningful part of her musical life, Stephanie’s heart lives in teaching. A registered Suzuki teacher for over 30 years, her approach is centered on the development of the whole child. Her teaching is grounded in the belief that musical growth happens best when the whole child is seen and supported—body, mind, and spirit. Her work weaves together nervous system awareness, creative exploration, and the rigor of violin mastery in a way that nurtures both skill and soul.

Stephanie co-founded and directed the Suzuki Talent Education of the Lubbock Region (STELR) from 2001–2008, taught Suzuki in the Schools at Greensboro Day School from 2013–2021, and served on the faculty of the Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival in Burlington, Vermont, from 2006–2018. She has also taught at High Point University and Guilford College.

Stephanie holds a BM in Violin Performance from the University of Minnesota and both an MM and DMA in Violin Performance from Texas Tech University. She lives in Greensboro, NC, where she maintains a full private studio, directs Youth Strings with the Greensboro Symphony Youth Orchestras, co-directs Suzuki Talent Education of the Piedmont (STEP), and performs with the Greensboro Symphony as Principal Second Violin.

Outside of music, Stephanie loves spending time in nature, especially hiking in the mountains whenever she can. She is also an avid animal lover and a mother of two children, both of whom were raised with Suzuki lessons at the heart of their upbringing.
