Across more than 30 years of teaching, Stephanie’s students have gone on to build meaningful lives both in music and far beyond it. Former students have held orchestral and leadership positions with ensembles including the New York Philharmonic, Greensboro Symphony Orchestra, Lubbock Symphony Orchestra, Salisbury Symphony, Greenville Symphony Orchestra, Seattle Metropolitan Chamber Orchestra, and Blueprint Arts Symphony, among others.

Her students have participated in programs including Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, Eastern Music Festival, Brevard Music Center, UNCG Summer Music Camp, TTU Band & Orchestra Camp, STEP Collaborative’s Triad Summer Strings, and Bluebird Family Fiddle Camp. They have continued their studies at institutions including the Colburn Conservatory, University of Minnesota, Vanderbilt University, UNC Greensboro, UNC School of the Arts, UNC Chapel Hill, NC State University, McGill University, and others.

Many of Stephanie’s students have become teachers themselves, establishing thriving studios in Seattle, Minneapolis, North Carolina, South Carolina, and communities throughout the country. Their work has also included teaching positions at Bob Jones University, as well as teaching assistantships at UNC Greensboro and Texas Tech University. Others have carried the creativity, discipline, curiosity, and confidence developed through Suzuki lessons into careers in genetics, psychotherapy, military service, professional dance, and many other fields.

Stephanie is equally proud of every path. Whether a student becomes a professional musician, a teacher, a scientist, a therapist, a dancer, a member of the military, or an adult who carries a lasting love of music, the goal is the same: to help each person grow into a capable, curious, and wholehearted human being.
